The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Escalade. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated with an abnormal sound. The contact changed the spark plugs, wires and coils however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the lifters to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 91,000.
Exhaust manifold bolts shred off causing engine misfire. Leading to a very costly repair. Mech. Said that this happens on all the GM of a similar design, at highway speed don't notice the roughness. When you come to a stop and can really feel the cylinder miss firing. Fault code said number was mis-firing.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the piston was cracked. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 106,000.
