I think this is a major problem with the GM- Cadillac (mine is a 2010) Escalade. The disabling and enabling 4 to 8 Cylinders causes the problem over time and I'm pretty sure GM knows this - especially with the annoying 'ticking' sounds that ultimately occurs. It's just a matter of time before the Valve isn't working properly and the head cracks.
