My wife's 2007 Cadillac SRX caught fire under the hood while she was driving home late night on Thanksgiving. No one got hurt.
She ask me to inspect the vehicle to find where a burning rubber smell was coming from. I notice a hint of smoke coming from the hood. When I opened the hood, there was a flame coming from what appeared to be the right side of the engine. I doses the flame with water from the garden hose after trying to pat it down with a wet towel. This is a complete mystery. We have the vehicle in the repair shop now waiting to hear back. This is totally unacceptable! I am sure this is not a singular incident.
