repairingMy Cadillac SRX has a hose/ defective sunroof drains and/or seals that allow water to enter the passenger areas and my hatchback area. This issue has caused damage to my carpet, wiring and electronics!

The dealership I bought car from gave me paperwork saying there were no recall issues BUT my Cadillac dealership that I utilize now somehow found this information for my vehicle in two minutes today! stating that it was fixed in 2015. Obviously, IT WAS NOT fixed and now my hatch does not open at all! One of the major reasons I purchased this vehicle was for the hatchback! It is notes that Cadillac is/was aware of these issues and are not repairing them for my year! So Cadillac is okay with vehicles that have an issue where the vehicle gets shorted out!! If anyone knows more about this, please let me know. I am awaiting word from my dealership if Cadillac is going to assist with correcting this. I LOVE this SUV, my family has always had a Cadillac in our cadre of cars but this may change my thoughts and sentiments! I was out stating how great GM and Caddy was but I think I might have to be out changing my thoughts if they think it is okay two charge owners $2k for something THEY should be repairing.

Leak caused by improper design of drain hose. Water drained into body of car resulting in 4 inches of water below carpet. Cadillac realized problem and issued service bulletin #14225 but did not cover Ohio but did include Kentucky and West Virginia. Dealer refused to correct problem. I involved my insurance company and they covered cost less my deductable of $500. I filed claim with Cadillac to recover my $500 but they refused as I had involved my insurance company.
