2014 Cadillac Srx. Consumer writes in regard to defective headlights that appear too dim. The consumer stated the coating on the headlamp housing was the cause of the dim lighting. The manufacturer was notified and offered to cover 50% of the repair costs.

The contact was informed that the lamp assembly needed to be replaced, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 79,000.

The vehicle was taken to williamson Cadillac (7815 sw 104th St, miami, fl) where the headlights were replaced, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 67,000. Consumer stated, again the lights were replaced and GM cut the cost to $915.31 updated 8/23/18
