This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Consumer states vehicle has been in for repairs at least 10 times since the date of purchase for the same problem, the problem arises after traveling at least 70 miles, the vehicle has stopped while slowing down on the expressway, getting off the expressway and also while going around a corner.
Vehicle will start to shake when driving over 40 mph. Contacted dealer, and dealer was not willing to do anything. The consumer states that the dealer tried to remedy the problem, but was unable to do so. The vehicle has had a new driveshaft, a new winshield was applied due to a chip in the inside of windshield, the wheel had been bent/replaced, balanced/aligned and added a new rim, and supposedly a new set of tires from Cadillac-but had the same markings of the old tires/supposed to have been taken off. With all repair and maintenence made on the vehicle, the vibration still exsists and seems to get worse(the longer the trip and when going around curves/straightening out). The engine whines when you accelerate and decreases when slowed, also the transmission makes a big clunk noise and lunges when it first shifts.
