N182205680 - Service Update. Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with a stacked plate heat exchanger (SPHE) that has the potential to develop a leak. A leaking SPHE can contaminate the automatic transmission fluid with engine coolant, resulting in poor transmission shift quality like shudder, hard shifts, vibration, or surging that typically will not provide malfunction indication (no DTCs set).Dealers are to replace the stacked plate heat exchanger.
