I have a Cadillac XT4 with 33K miles. Last week my battery was dead. As a senior citizen who is a widow it is important that I not be stuck in a situation where I cannot get my car started which is why I am diligent with my maintenance. After I finally got my car to the dealership where I was charged $425 for the battery I started to investigate other owners complaints of this nature. Based on simple Google searches, It appears that the XT4 has alot of battery problems. This puts the driver in a dangerous situation. I called GM helpdesk who said that there is no recall at this time, but if there is one that I will be notified. Why wait? I know this may not seem like a huge safety problem to you like airbags etc, but the battery being dead with no prior indication puts people in a dangerous situation. I appreciate what your agency does and thank you for reading this
