Firstly the passlock system is a huge issue, if the parts in the system ignition system break down or trip you can be stuck high and dry on a whim. Passlock system is prime reason for my worries when driving my truck will cut fuel out and shut down and stall when I'm driving or need to start up my truck again also the blower resistor and cable are faulty as are other electrical systems but the blower motor resistor is outright a fire hazard that can melt or burn out. GM needs to stop (#ing) around with passlock system and other issues I will not be driving or owning another GM in my lifetime after my troubles with this passlock system nobody should be having to deal with this problem 3rd party or have repeated service or parts installed to silence this issue for a time. Just think of having been stuck high and dry threw not fault of your own outside the passlock system there are quite a few very very negative problems many have had with these 2 systems above I would love GM to pay me for missed work days and personal expenses for having had to fix mend and make this system work as I stright up bought a new ECM/PCM tuned it removed passlock because the risk and issues were to great nobody needs this problem hanging over their heads this issue pisses me off as I'd spent days doing relearn procedures 40 min per procedure several times until one stuck as per instructions GM wont even respond or not (X) this up if you need service too I will not be owning any more GM or Chevy again. If you need to fix this system just remove it. So sad dealers are greedy and GM is too rather then make things right with long standing issues and complaints passlock system and blower motor and a few other things need recalls no ifs ands or butts this is exactly how you will go bankrupt again (@)ing customers who paid for your broken sales pitch to buy your snake oil *parts of this document have been redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).*

We have experienced a front universal premature failure. We have aprox.51000 miles on this truck, from experienced mechanics, they say this should not happen to this particular joint. I take good care of my cars/trucks. No hot rodding or abuse. Purpose for this contact was to fined out if this is a problem and has been reported before. I think this item was defective when built. What's my recourse if any? [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Engine had a misfire and would stall sometimes when you made a tight turn at low speeds. Found out it had a bad value seat causing it to have the misfire. GM messed around and wouldn't fix it. Red other people had bad value seats too. Spent my own money to get it fixed.

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that the engine was a 4 cylinder 2.8 engine and would cause the vehicle to drive abnormally. The contact stated that the number 4 valve was sticking. The dealer diagnosed that the engine would need replacing. The engine was replaced by the dealer numerous times, but the failure continuosuly recurred. The dealer also rebuilt the transmission, but the contact was uncertain if the failure was directly related to the engine failure. The manufacturer was contacted, but denied any assistance with repairs to the vehicle. The failure mileage was 160,000 and the current mileage was 200,000. The VIN was unavailable.

Check engine light came on intermittently. Engine heated up and transmission would not shift into overdrive on freeway. Transmission shifts hard now and then. Checked website for any recalls on engine, took to dealership, still under warranty. They keep the truck for 2 weeks, did machine work on cylinder head, computer said all cylinders mis-firing. Print out from Chevrolet said 'head replacement', which was not done. Notified GMC customer service and opened file. Back to dealership second time for drop in idle and misfire during driving. Could not find anything wrong. Dealership said to bring back if said condition gets worse.
