whenever i would turn left randomly, it would lose all power

A wire in my steering column was rubbing against the steering wheel and would lose all power and have to be towed to dealer. This was VERY annoying because the mechanics didn't know what was causing it. Turns out it was a wire rubbing against metal in my steering column, so if anyone is having this problem have the mechanic check your steering column.
