I came home on emergency leave from Iraq and decided to purchase a vehicle while here so I would have something to drive when I returned from deployment a few months later. I picked up a 2008 Chrysler 300 Touring the night before I was scheduled to return to duty in Iraq. Because of road construction and heavy traffic I did not test drive the car very far, nor did I drive at highway speeds. However on my way home I did and discovered that there was a noise coming from the right front wheel. I asked my wife to take the car back and report the problem to the dealer in the hopes they could quickly resolve the issue. In good faith we did not trade it back in for another. I think maybe I should have. After several rounds of wheel alignment, balancing, new tires and even a new rim the dealer concluded that all 300s make the noise. There may be some basis in fact for this as one of my sons friend’s family own a 300 and said they’re car makes a similar noise. I am a certified mechanic myself and am quite certain that if such a noise were common place in these cars the company should have had a resolution figured out by now. My only problem in diagnosing the noise is that I am not there. I do not know if anybody else is experiencing this problem but if so help would be greatly appreciated. I will be home shortly and will post anything I find in investigating the noise.
