This is sad to see that Chrysler isn't taking care of their customers. This is a huge deal for people with allergies, bronchitis, asthma and any number of illness where air quality is very important. Chrysler takes this option away from the customer with this auto mode of the recirculation button.
Mine has been malfunctioning since April of 2014 and it's getting unbearable, especially since I live in the hot, muggy and humid south of Alabama. There is no way to stop the heat, exhaust, pollution and odors from entering the cabin of the car, recirculation button won't engage. just blinks then goes off. It dramatically lessens the efficiency of the A/C by allowing outside (heated) air to enter the cabin, especially in city traffic or at a stop sign or red light. I frequently travel 2 1/2 hours, one way, to the Veterans Hospital to receive treatment and each time I dread the trip.
Chrysler please address and fix this issue as there is no way for this item to wear under normal use from the customer. It is clearly a quality issue on the part of Chrysler.
