engine failure, coolant tank blew up while driving 60 mph

While driving on the freeway at 60 MPH , Low Battery warning light flashed. One second later the External Mirror Vehicle Proximity Warning light flashed ,no car behind mine, and stopped working. Tachometer and Seedometer cycled from 0 to Max reading. I pulled the car off the highway, but could not get the transmission into Park. I applied the E- brake the engine was still running. I exited the car to safe distance, while the engine continued to race between full acceleration to low acceleration by its self for another 10 minutes. After ten minutes, the engine died. After I had the car towed home, I was able to open the hood. The top of the Plastic Coolant Tank had blown up while the hood was still closed I had the car towed to Tacoma Dodge ! Tacoma WA . They evaluated the damage . Total engine replacement. Estimated cost out of my pocket $ 10,000.00 for engine replacement. This does not include the cost to fix the electrical system which caused this to happen in the first place. My Chrysler warranty has expired, however I purchased GAP Coverage, but they tell me I am not covered under this policy. I have no resolution yet.
