I leased this car 9/14 it stalled on me 4 months later (1/15). I was driving on the main road when it just stopped out of nowhere after check engine light came on. I drove it for about 8 month when the same thing happened. This car should be recalled. They charge $40,000 for a brand new car that dies every few months, that's unacceptable. Chrysler tried offering me two car payments for this issue. I am sorry but i think my life is worth a little more than that.

I have lost confidence in this brand new 3 month old vehicle. I did some research and have discovered that there are many Chrysler owners with this very problem. A class action has been filed against Chrysler for a defective TIPM. I believe this is my problem as well. Here is the link.......

http://gotaclassaction.com/chrysler-sued-over-failure-to-timely-repair-or-replace-totally-integrated-power-module-in-certain-vehicles/

While driving home the car surged/hesitated and the check engine Icon illuminated. The car was purchased in December 2014 and at that time was about 1 month old. I exited from the expressway and shut the engine and restarted it but the check engine Icon still was illuminated. But now the vehicle would move. When it finally did it moved very slowly, relative to the engine speed. Finally at about 3000rpm it shifted to higher gears. The dealer supposedly corrected that problem and the work order stated 181905A1 Transmission Control Module, they flashed the TCM software, they never did anything with the TIPM, which has been problematic for some time now and Chrysler has not announced a recall for it.

This failure in my opinion is related to a defective power module TMIP. This vehicle is unsafe to drive.

Update from Mar 2, 2015: I tried contacting the service manager at the dealership where I purchased the vehicle, a few days ago but he never returned my call. because I have not heard from service I sent an email to the sales manager and the General manager regarding this problem. So far no reply. Also have contacted Chrysler Corporate and was told I would hear from upper management, but that has not happed either. It appears that Chrysler is more concerned about sales, and less concerned of their clients safety. That is very Sad !
