Car accelerates on it own. Throttle goes to the floor and hard to stop. The car was in service for this issue. The service department stated no issues. Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2017 Chrysler 300s.

While driving 60 mph, the accelerator pedal traveled to the floorboard automatically without being depressed. The vehicle accelerated on its own up to 80 mph. There were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the failure. The vehicle had to be placed in neutral for the vehicle to stop. The vehicle was diagnosed that the accelerator pedal assembly failed. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 87,000. The dealership could never repeat the problem until 3/25/2022.
