While driving under 20 mph everything shuts down. When cruise control is on at high speed engine will shut off, and this causes cruise control to cut off. When going around corner car will die. Took to dealer, and they couldn't find cause since Aug of 2000. The vehicle stall several times. All possible causes that the dealer pointed out each time the vehcile stall (dirty egr valve, defective computer module and wiring harness failures) were corrected but the problem still exists.
Driving at 45 mph vehicle lost power. Turned key but engine would not start. Mechanic stated that car computer was damage due to faulty distributor. A replacement computer was put into vehicle but it too was damage. After conferring with dealer, it was determine that a faulty distributor cause computer to fail. I had to purchase a distributor and computer to fix problem. I believe that such a defect should be investigated and be classified as a recall. Thank you for your consideration on this matter.
These incidents seemed to go all about the same time. The ABS light still will not reset. The brake light on the dash comes on intermittently. The electronic control module on the hydraudlic secquencing valve was found to be inoperative. The ECM module was defective. The fuel pump electrical 4-pin connector on the fuel pump within the fuel tank showed discoloration. The fuel tank low level light was 'adjusted', never has been accurate. Fuel
Vehicle keeps cutting off. Had crank sensor & H20 sensor replaced. Air conditioner fails to work. Took to dealer & was informed vehicle needed spark plugs & problem not with transmission.
Engine hestiates upon acceleration/no power. Feeling that vehicle will stall. Rough idling, almost causing loss of vehicle control, dealer replaced computer/idle speed control unit. Cannot determine problem.
