It is near the airbag on the pass. side, and now there are 2 cracks. Beautiful car, another crapper cracked pad. My dodge Ram many cracks in the pad.

A few years into owning this car, I noticed a rip in the passenger side of the dashboard--where the airbag is. The rip was about an inch wide, and as the years progressed, it grew to over 16 inches long (2009). When I asked the dealer what could be done, they said nothing short of replacing the entire dash. The attributed the problem to the excessive heat causing the leather to pull, and eventually break. I think that's a poor excuse for shotty planning.
