I have the identical issue with my 1999 LHS as already mentioned in the Complaints (#8) for 1999 LHS. When I turn to the left (just past center" the wheel binds (sometimes) and then releases and runs fine/normally? A friend told me its sound like the rack and pinion is going....It has not worsened in months and due to the expenses I'm not sure its worth replacing?.. I have seen where you can get "rebuilt" unit with a core charge and a 3 year guarantee. Since the care runs perfectly I'm considering this....Also there are 2 types of units for this car...How do I find out which one I need. And lastly HOW difficult is it to install???
