When my husband drives my car, he moves the seat back. When I drive my car, I move the seat forward. This action causes the airbag light on the dash to come on. When I move the electronically controlled seat forward/backward, the airbag light will "sometimes" go off. The NHTSA ref 07V240000 references a recall for the front seat track position sensor. I contacted Chrysler to see if my car is one that has been recalled. I'm told that it is not. I think it should be.

When seat is moved the airbag light comes on and stays on. Dealer refuses to fix saying that placing purse on seat broke the sensor. Car will not shift in gear. 2nd occurrence. First time fixed under recall. Now dealer refuses to fix same issue. Contacted Chrysler customer service and received no assistance.

When my husband drives my car, he moves the seat to the very back position. When I drive my car, I move the seat forward. This action causes the airbag light on the dash to come on. When I move the electronically controlled seat forward/backward, the airbag light will go off. The NHTSA ref 07V240000 references a recall for the front seat track position sensor. I contacted Chrysler to have the repair initiated; however, they said my car (although same year, make and model) is not part of the recall.

First two complaints have been recalled and serviced. Said recalls were for # 1 engine stalling and # 2 driver airbag under seat sensor illuminating on and off on dash. Even after the service was performed for the recalls, I still have engine stalling during stops and on deceleration the vehicle threatens to stall. I need to keep giving gas and on humid days that is indicative of possible rain the threat is more often. The second recall complaint that I am still experiencing is the air bag illuminator on dash for the drivers side goes on and off and the wires under the drivers seat are involved when driver seat moves front or back. Stalling is a safety issue that can cause personal injury or death to occupants in this car or nearby cars sharing the road. Also the air bag sensor problem keeps me in fear that the airbag will not deploy when necessary or will deploy accidentally on its own while the vehicle is in motion. I also have a complaint that the car when braking for a stop continued to rev causing me to use the emergency break and I had to shut off the car to stop the car totally.I have noticed that this issue is common with other peoples complaint and an inquiry would seem imminent for safety reasons. The dealership knowing the recalls have not secured the proper handling of my vehicle's safety wants to charge a diagnostic fee or a service fee when it is clear that the proper service was not rendered causing recall malfunctions to this date. For the two complaints that have recalls that I am inquiring about need to be addressed to the dealership asap for service and I would appreciate the outcome of this complaint in writing. As for the accelerator problem I would like to be kept abreast if a safety issue is mandated for the repair of that complaint. Thank you.

My airbag light comes on frequently and remains on most of the time. I took it to goldstein Chrysler Jeep Dodge in latham NY. I was charged $120 for diagnostics and I was told it was an airbag sensor that would cost upward of an additional $450 to repair. I found there was a recall issued by the national highway traffic safety association for this problem with the 2007 Chrysler Sebring back in June of 2007. The recall campaign # is NHTSA-07V240000. I called diamler Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 to get the problem resolved and to recover the $120 I paid to the goldstein dealership for an issue that was covered in a recall. Diamler Chrysler said they had no recall for an airbag sensor on the 2007 Sebring. I called back the NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236 and confirmed the recall was in fact issued. I filed a case with the NHTSA, and they referred me to the federal trade commission at 1-877-382-4357 where I also filed a report. The ftc also referred me to the nys consumer protection board. Complaints to them must be filed in writing. I requested a complaint form. I called diamler Chrysler back and filed a case. I contacted the dealer customer service management back, where I sensed there wasn't the least bit of sympathy or concern for my family's safety.

I bought my 2007 Chrysler Sebring brand new April 2007. After about a year (or less) and well under 20,000 miles the gas cap light would not go off, windshield wipers went off sporadically even in the "off" position, got stuck in park, fuel tank had to be replaced (which went out while I was driving), air bag light won't go off, etc. Had all these problems fixed only to have many of them recur. They were all fixed under warranty. Now after 36,000 miles and no warranty, the problems I have now are the windshield wipers still won't go off, my electric windows sometimes won't work at all (driver's side specifically), air bag light won't go off but occasionally when driver's seat is moved backward and forward but always returns, car will stall at times when pressing the gas pedal while driving. After the windshield wipers began going off again, took it to Chrysler dealership in my town...they contacted Chrysler to see if they would replace it again and they refused. All the recalls I read about that appear to pertain to my vehicle, Chrysler says my VIN is not a part of the recall (even though it's happening to my car too)! I will never buy another Chrysler vehicle for myself, or anyone in my family again! problems with this car started early and never went away.

I was S/B on I-75 in Kentucky at approximately the 56 mp when I fell asleep. The front end struck the end of a guard rail and then the car swung around, slid sideways, and rolled over stopping on it's left side. No air bags deployed. The vehicle had both front and side air bags. The Kentucky state police, post 11, took the report and the mount vernon, ky fire department got us out. No was injured thanks to seat belts but the air bags should have deployed. The fire department was concerned that the side air bags would deploy when they used the 'jaws' to cut the side posts but this did not happen either.

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated. The failure began in August 2007 and the vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed; however, the contact was unable to identify the diagnosis. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure nor was the vehicle repaired. The current mileage was 106,000 and the approximate failure was 200.

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated the front driver side air bag off indicator light illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken an authorized dealer where the front driver seat air bag sensor was replaced. One month later, the front passenger seat air bag sensor failed to function properly which required replacement. NHTSA recall campaign 07V240000 (air bags: Frontal) was associated with the failure. The manufacturer was notified and stated the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

I have a 2007 Chrysler Sebring. While I was driving to work, the car idled down and was about to cut off, as when I stopped on a red light the car completely shut off. I had to turn the ignition key to "off" and turned it back on. Also, the airbag light keeps coming on and off. What is wrong!" any recalls on these yet"

My airbag light comes on intermittently. Sometimes it blinks off and on a few minutes at a time as I drive for as long as I'm driving. Other times, it will stay on for 30 minutes or so continuously, then stay off. Or, I can go days without it coming on. I'm afraid it's going to either deploy for no reason while I'm driving and cause an accident, or not deploy if do have an accident. My brake lights come on almost every time I stop at a light. I have had the brakes checked by a mechanic, and they couldn't find anything wrong with them. My driver's side window has occasionally begun "sticking". usually it is when I have rolled it down, it does not want to roll back up. My car is out of warranty, so I have not paid to have it hooked up to the computer at the dealership to see if there are any error codes. These have all started happening in the last three months, and are steadily getting worse.

In addition, the front passenger side window would not open. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileage was 68,000.

While driving the car will stall either at a stop or while moving. The airbag light on dash continues to come on. The flashers randomly start flashing while driving. The radio will change stations on it own. The brakes have been replaced or repaired 3 time in the first 25,000 miles. The suspension makes a grinding noise upon turning. I have had the car in at the dealership service dept at least a dozen times. Radio has been replaced but continues to change on its own. Airbag switch has been replaced, but continues to appear on dash. Service states that computer cannot read errors, and puts car on road test.

Our 2007 Chrysler Sebring's airbag light has come on. It was on just a few minutes and went out. It stayed out for about a month and now has come on and stayed on. We have 41,000 miles on it and we have not had it for 3 yrs yet but have been told it could cost us no less than $89 to fix. The book says contact a garage right away for repair. We don't know whether this airbag will come out while driving or not. Should this be a recall or should we have to pay for fixing this problem.

Defective airbag system on Chrysler Sebring after 50,000 miles. Although the car has never had any accident that may involve the use of airbags. The airbag signal will go off on the 2007 Chrysler Sebring dashboard, over and over and over again....then it will stop for about two to four twenty hours. And it will go off again....
