Sebring Touring

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

Ok this morning 6/29/2011 went to drive to work today and car would not come out of park, I bought all extended warranty's but the idiots at the dealership told me I would have to pay to have it towed to them and then they would check to see if it is under warranty ! WHAT IDIOTS ! They could look it up on the computers but, I guess the chimps that work there don't know how to do a damn search. I will be writing to the head Chrysler . I have heard from other Chrysler owners that sense the gov. bailout their service and care for their customers have been flushed down the toilet. I am not one to sit on my hands and bitch. I suggest anybody having a problem write the to the head of Chrysler ! hope that is not Obama !!! And you know what I mean I am sure !! Kathy H.

Sebring LX 2.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,380 miles

This is the second Chrysler I've owned. The first was a PT Cruiser which I had problems with the windows. I have not had a problem until now, though the windows in the back sometimes do not go down and the convertible top sometimes stops in the middle of opening and closing. This however is a nightmare. I normally drive Chevy vehicles and all have lasted me at least 180,000 miles or more.

Update from Oct 25, 2010: I ended up bringing the car to Delray Chrysler in Delray Beach, FL. They told me that though some of the transmissions were recalled for this problem that mine was not and I would have to pay. So $226 later (at least it wasn't more) and 2 hours I had it working again. A week later we got a letter stating that the Transmission was recalled. I just sent out a copy of the receipt (as stated) and they are noting that I will be reimbursed if I paid already to have the work done. I'll believe it when I see it. If I get all of my money back then I will be fine. If not... then I will never be a customer of Chrysler again... We shall see...
