On 12/12/2015 bought a used 2012 Town and country touring L with push-to-start feature, with 40,500 miles. Starting 12/20/2015 I would get in the car, step on brake, push the start button, the engine starts up, and vroom for a couple seconds, then died. If I push the start button again it would try crank all day but would not start. I'd have to foot-off the brake and push start to have it in the off mode, open and close the door to "reset" everything as I just get in the car, and re-try again, and it would start up normally. It was a once a week thing, and now once every couple days. I found a large amount of similar complaints online and all points to the tipm defect. I'm concerned about the issue, in addition to start up, might happen during driving. My car is under extended warranty and I'll have it fixed soon, but I'm concerned about if the replacement would be the same parts that would go bad again in three years. Chryslershould issue a recall with a new-and-improved tipm module.

Vehicle battery dies overnight and requires a jump start. Clicking noise can be heard coming from the fuse box under the hood (tipm?). vehicle is unresponsive to the key fob and accessory mode won't even turn on while key is in the vehicle. Jump start remedies the problem for the day, but this is required everyday since the battery dies overnight.

Last January, 2015, I took my vehicle to jim click Chrysler Jeep, 701 w auto mall dr, tucson, AZ 85705 to fulfill a safety recall, P25/NHTSA 14V-234, to have the rear quarter vent window switch replaced due to a possible overheating condition. At that time I was told the parts were not available to repair the vehicle, I would be contacted when they arrive. I have never been contacted; they have my name, address, phone number and email. I have been waiting for over a year for the recall on my minivan vent window switch to be replaced. I went to the dealer (contemporary Chrysler in milford nh) in Dec 2014 & they told me the part was on order & would be in soon. In the meantime, they need to disconnect the switch. I have since called the dealership many times & am told I am on the list but the part is not available. It is very inconvenient to be without these windows for over a year. This car is practically brand new & I have to deal with non-functioning vent windows. Very disappointed in Chrysler. I have just received a 2nd notice on this recall P25/NHTSA 14V-234 tomget it fixed. I don't think a year is a reasonable time to wait for recall repair. I'd get it fixed if the part was available. Please help.

Sub: P25nhtsa 14V-234 rear quarter vent window switch we received a safety recall notice a few months ago that stated, "Chrysler has detected that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in some 2010 through 2014 model year Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country vehicles.? my vehicle falls within the scope of this problem. We contacted arrigo of West palm beach on April 9, 2015 to schedule an appointment to get the vehicle repaired and was informed that ?the part was on backorder and I would be contacted when the part came in.? it has been five months now and they have still not received the required parts as of September 1, 2015. As stated in the safety recall letter, if the dealer fails or is unable to remedy this defect without charge and with in a reasonable time, I may submit a written complaint to the administrator, national traffic safety administration.? we do not understand why it has taken five months or possibly longer for a dealer to receive a safety recall part, so that this safety hazard may be repaired as well as my peace of mind. The problem as stated, ?the rear quarter vent window switch on your vehicle may overheat if exposed to liquid moisture. An overheated rear quarter vent window switch may cause a burning odor, smoke, or a driver's door fire without warning." I am very concerned for my family's safety because we live in Florida and it is very moist here especially during hurricane season. The longer it takes to receive the correct part and fix this issue creates higher safety risk for my family. Thank you for your time and please help us resolve this issue promptly.
