Caliber SXT 2.0L

Driving the car down the road at approximately 35 to 70 mph and all of a sudden the electronic throttle control light comes on. Car has no power when the light comes on. Been to the dealer 2 time no help. 3 new electronic throttle bodies, no help. Was getting on the highway, lost all power and was forced off on the shoulder. A state trooper had a car pulled over (WOW) came within a foot of hitting him. I hope I don't kill someone with this car or get killed in it. Dodge needs to recall and repair these cars. I have 2 neighbors with the same car 2007 and 2008 with the same problem just on my block. When you look on the web for this it comes up with 16,854 pages (NOT GOOD)

Caliber SE 1.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 108,000 miles

I was driving approximately 2 miles from my house and the engine signal came on, after I pulled from a traffic light all the dash lights came on including the lightning bolt. I pulled into the lot at the store and turned the heater and radio off one by one, then the engine. I check the manual to see what the emblems meant. I started the car and only one light stayed on so I decided to drive a little to see what would happen. About 3 miles the car stopped accelerating, wouldn't go over 5 - 10 miles per hour. All the lights came back on with this serious jerking. I managed to get the car to a safe place and turned it off. After 20 minutes the radio and lights were all that would work. The car would not start and the gear shift would not let the car go in to neutral, it was locked down. I had the vehicle towed to my residence and there she sits. Had it not been Sunday, I am afraid to think of ;how many times I may have caused an accident

Caliber 2.6L I Think

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

On the way to the hospital to see my grand daughter being born the car completely shuts off in the middle of the road, comes back on and revs like it's in neutral for a few seconds....then on the way home that same night, obviously hours later, it does the same thing as were going around a curve (no lights brakes or power steering on a sharp curve in the mountains NOT GOOD) Needless to say it's been parked ever since due to the fact I can't afford to have it towed (I refuse to drive it anymore) then the outrageous bill to have it fixed
