I HAD ONLY BAD EXPERIENCES WITH THIS CAR. THE BEST AUTO ELECTRICIANS DO NOT WANT TO WORK ON CHRYSLER, DODGE.ETC. THE COST OF A TIPM SYSTEM IS VERY EXPENSIVE. THE AGENT FOR DODGE IN THE EASTERN CAPE GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR THE PART ONLY -- R 14 304 .50. ALL THE DODGE CALIBER OWNERS I HAVE MET WANT TO SELL THEIR CARS.

I WISH BY DOING THIS SOMEBODY CAN GUIDE ME IN FIXING MY CAR BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY.

Got to work ok that morning but when it was time for me to leave, no can do!! My car would not start had to have it towed 48 miles home. Had my mechanic take a look at it and he found my fuel pump burned up. Replaced the fuel pump and nothing. Checked my TIPM and found it burned up along with the computer. The TIPM had shorted out causing a power surge which shorted out my computer, burned up my fuel pump, and a camshaft senor and yet Dodge won't cover anything knowing they've had issues with there TIPM.

So I am visiting my family from 16 hours away I go to leave my parents home and car won't start. I try get it started and all I hear is clicking of starter trying to turn over. I think its the starter, alternator, or battery. I go through routine of checking them out, have a family member give me ride to get code reader and up pops this code p161b. So I start researching it. Learn that this problem is due to a defect known by Chrysler, and they won't fix so I am doing what need to. My car will be going in this morning.

We have had our car to a private shop and we have taken it to a dealer and no one can find the problem.. It started for less then a day, but then we get ready to leave for work and the car does not crank, everything works but won't turn over. We have put over 300 dollars into it already and still it doesn't crank, no one knows the problem. We have only had it not even 3 months and it starts this. It is our main car, it's a 2011 Dodge Caliber and I'm getting aggravated with money being spent but no fixes.

I need help! It's getting old fast!
