Pedestal connected to rocker arm which is connected to cylinder head broke for no reason. Since it is all one piece, it all had to be replaced at a great cost. Warranty gold extended warranty would not cover it as they said it was a well known problem with this engine. Dodge denies there have been any complaints.
1. airbag light stays on, horn quit working. We were told this is the clock spring failure. 2. engine check light on - computer code indicates this is a coil pack failure. 3. transmission replaced at 55,000 mi. 4. windshield wipers come on for no reason 5. A/C freon charge at 98,000 6. water pump failure at 98,000
Consumer was traveling about 70mph on highway and without prior warning lost power steering/ all belt driven accessories/ water pump pulley flew off, and vehicle started to vibrate.

Defect in head gasket caused oil to leak causing the air idle valve control, PCV, fuel filter, hormica balancing board, throttle, water pump, theromstat, iignition module to have to be repaired. Timing belt was recall Dodge did not put it on right causing to head gasket to leak. Timing belt covers was never replace when it was recalled.was not notified of this recall timing belt broken while driving.
With out warning the vehicle over heated. My wife called the dealer. They said not to drive it. Later the husband check car to confirm that the fan were not turning. The vehicle is going to dealer to get relay replaced. Also when the engin is running it has a valve knock.
