Caravan 3.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 268,000 miles

I'm not complaining that much considering the car has over 250,000 miles on it, but one thing led to another. The alternator belt slipped off; no problem. Then when I put it on the belt burned through because it appeared that the alternator wheel was the issue. I took it into the shop and they said that I needed a whole new alternator. Then once I got the alternator in there the battery stopped charging... or so it seemed. I take it in again and the guy replaces the alternator just in case that it was a faulty product. Then he tells me that it's the electrical system, and not the battery. The car has over 250,000 miles on it, but she ran really well up until this string of occurrences.
