The contact stated that the part is supposed to be under a lifetime warranty, but the part had broken on the vehicle twice in three months. The contact owns a 1999 Dodge Caravan. While driving approximately 35 mph on normal road conditions the electrical instrument panel gauges failed to operate. An authorized dealer stated that card in the instrument panel was damaged. The vehicle has not been repaired. The contact had concerns of the safety risk involved.
