The contact owns a 2000 Dodge Caravan equipped with cornell cornell 1000 tires, size 205/75/R14. The contact stated that when driving at various speeds, the rear driver side tire experienced tread separation. The tire was replaced with the spare tire. The manufacturer of the tire was contacted and they advised that they would need to inspect the vehicle and the tire. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000. Updated 02/03/12 updated 02/08/12
Left driver side tire tread separated while traveling about 55mph on the highway. There were no sign of trouble visible at this time. Firestone, steel tex, P18575/R14 dot#vnj7791775.
PE00 048; was traveling about 65mph and heard a noise. Was able to pull over to T shoulders of the highway and noticed that that left rear tire tread separated from vehicle. It was second incident affecting left front driver's side tire. Goodyear, conquest, 205 75 R14. Goodyear was aware of problem.
While driving, right front Goodyear weather handler ls tire experienced tread separation, right rear Goodyear conquest tire went flat, dot for the weatherhandler tire is mdvfwkhr3700, size of tires were P215/65R15.
