He was unable to shift the vehicle from park. The dealer had not been notified. The manufacturer was aware of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. I went to drive my 2007 Dodge Charger and it was stuck in park. No other problems. I investigated and found out that Chrysler has a defective part in these cars. They want to charge the consumer to fix the problem although it is well known that it is a manufacturing problem. (its a cheap plastic pink release button that goes out at any given time causing the car to be stuck in park) this is not the consumer's problem this needs to be recalled instead I was told since I was the second owner of the car there is nothing they can really do. It costs roughly $500 to be fixed. Really makes a happy customer question the quality of their service.
