When securing the base into the car via the latch system, the button that secures the tether (when pulling the strap tight) got stuck in the popped up/open position and did not lock the strap. Required manual manipulation of the button in order to return to the closed/down position and hold the tether. Ended up securing the seat via the seat belt. (related vehicle information: Model year=2012, make=Dodge, model=Charger).
