Transmission failed and replaced at 40000 miles and 1 1/2 years on the road. Just had transmission serviced 7000 miles ago. Dodge agreed to replace parts, but I still have to pay service which is over 1000. Dodge never told me why it failed, nor how. I asked them to check fluid level, never did. Brakes when applied cause vehicle to "wobble". brake repair said rotors were warped. They were fixed only to be occurring again. I shall never buy another Dodge.
Can put my truck into revere and it will not move. The dash says its in reverse(digital read out) but acts as if it is still in neutral. Have file arbitration and had to refile after disatisfaction of outcome. Daimler Chrysler says its not unasfe.

As of 10/22/00 until 01/14/01 I have had 18 problems with vehicle. Wont start at different times, but will restart after several minutes. Transmission stays in 3rd gear or slips in & out of gear. Brakes make growling noise & shutter. Truck will die with no warning. Has spark knock with 87 or 89 octane fuel. Many problems.

Whenever slowing down or changing gears, vehicle would either stutter or stall. Have taken vehicle to dealership serveral times & mechanic indicated it was a factory defect & that manufacturer knew of problem. Can not resolve stalling problem.
While accelerating transmission will not shift into gear. The driver has to deaccelerate and then accelerated. Dealer has repaired/replaced the transmission twice.
Vehicle shutters and skips upon shifting into overdrive. Transmission has been replaced with a new transmission. Problem is less, but still evident. Does not always downshift when depressing pedal to the floor. Vehicle looses power when goin up a long grade. Vehicle is passed by school buses.
Vehicle experiencing ongoing stalling problem which the dealer has been unable to fix. The truck has stalled in the middle of traffic. A tow truck was needed. Truck had a problem on the freeway forcing the truck to not exceed 40 mph when traffic was at 55mph.
Tramission slips on shift from 2nd to 3rd at 3000 RPM when cold.transmission was repaired once and problem still existed, transmission was replaced and the problem still exist intermittently.
