Ok so this is what happened, I was driving home on the interstate after leaving my husband do be deployed overseas. I all of a sudden have a Check Gauges Light come on and notice that the oil gauge is none existent, then I get a horrible knocking in the engine hoping it goes away I slow down and but the knocking gets worse til something seemed to give way and the engine completely stops. Was able to get the truck towed home but when me and my brother in law looked at it everything seemed fine. Went back to pick my husband up and he looked inside pulling the cover off of wher the rocker arm sits and looked there is rock hard sludge in the engine, also looks like there is no oil getting to the arms. This is horrible and unfortunately I can't afford to have the truck worked on.

So, i got this car the end of my senior year of high school. I was just happy to have a car, so used was basically my only option. I payed $7,000 for it with 83,756 miles on it. the engine light has been on since Day 1. But, in addition to that, it has a very stick acceleration, accompanied by a loud popping/pounding sound. I have taken it to the dealership to get it checked out, and yet they say that nothing is wrong. Anyone with this issue?
