This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Multifunction switch had a internal fault the dealer replaced it on 12/30/09 the switch had to be replaced 2 weeks later because the switch replacement switch was bad. In 2010 after the truck out of warranty I had to replace it again. Now on 01/25/2012 the switch failed again which causes the turn signal to function incorrect ( left will turn on right, right will not work all or right will turn on left).
Turn signal intermittently fails. Moving turn signal lever for a left turn, results in flashing of right front and rear indicator lamps. Very dangerous as approaching traffic makes incorrect assumption about which direction the vehicle is planning to turn. Since intermittent, one never knows which indication (left or right) will result. Found internet blogs where this same problem has been documented.
