2011 Dodge Grand Caravan.. I was thankfully sitting infront of the high school waiting for my daughter to come out. My van was running. I had radio on and windows down. Nothing else on no air conditioning or anything. The dash lights all come on all of a sudden and off. Van is dead. I turn the key off and back on and nothing. I get jumped. Drive the 4 blocks to my house barely get in the drive and parked. I couldn't even get the windows up. About 2 hrs later my neighbor comes over to jump me again so I can get my windows up. Get them up. We were going to take it to advance to get it hooked to their gadget. I didn't get two houses down before I had to pull over because my van didn't know what gear it was in. My back up camera was even on. If this happened on the highway my children and I could have easily been killed.

Tipm bad. I've taken my van to the Dodge dealer several times for it cranks but not start. Runs rough, accelerates by it self sometimes, windows went down by themselves. They "diagnosed" it and came up with different things, I'm sure never needed such as housing-thermostat, crankshaft position sensor, O2 oxygen sensor. Still running same way and not starting. Then they said I needed a new fuel pump. I had a different mechanic put that on because he said it would be a few weeks before he could get a fuel pump. Couple days later same crap. Next day my van was completely dead, jump started it, turned it off and never would start again! couldn't hear the fuel pump come on at all! now I've spent $1,100 and still can't drive it!! Dodge does not care about their paying customers!!!! please help me!!!!!!!!! I am on a fixed income, I can't afford all this!!!!

The car has been shutting off while my wife is driving with my kids in the car. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership twice now for the same problem. I just got my car back yesterday 6/28/16 after the dealership had been working on it for a month and half. While my wife was driving today 6/29/16 the same thing happened again. It happens suddenly without any warning so there is no way for her to pull over, she has to remove the ignition key right where she is at and then turn the car back on. This is very concerning because it can cause an accident since there is no way of telling when the car will shut off. I have read many complaints about the same thing happening to other people with same problem. I do not understand why this vehicle has not been recalled.

Well from the time I purchased the car I told the dealer about the ignition. The car speeding off while I'm driving in a regular street or highway. The warning lights doesn't warn. Enough is enough. Riding in the car in street yesterday once again the steering wheel locked in me in traffic and it shut down. No warning. So dangerous. There is no way there should be so many complaints about the same issues and they not have a recall and repairs.my alternator actually fried and we could have been killed along with my children!!!! I'm scared. Im paying $500 dollars a month for a vehicle that is sitting and I can't drive. Please give hello me to get justice.

I contacted fox negaunee for repair of the "rear quarter vent window switch recall" on 04/15/2015. I made a follow up call a few months later. I still have not been contacted for repair of this recall. I have not experienced an issue with the part; however, as a recall, it should have been fixed in a timely manner. I am disappointed. I keep getting these notices in the mail. When I called initially, I was told I was 60th in line.

Bought vehicle 10 mths ago. Have had trouble with it starting. Anti theft system came on, battery drained and key locked in ignition. Could not get it out without charging battery. Vehicle is now not wanting to start every time. Took to dealer, found out has faulty tipm. Parts on back order and will end up costing almost $1200 to repair. Still owe $14000 for vehicle and have to get repairs. This vehicle was purchased for my 89 year old mother so that she would be able to put her electric scooter in the back of it for travel. Company this was purchased at, I am sure knew of the issue, just as I am sure they knew of recall on a window switch that wasn't repaired. If this part is not repairs, steering can go out while driving, amongst other fatal things, such as brakes going out or stalling middle of driving. Dealer trying to blame other company for installing faulty tipm, when it is the company's faulty part.

I have been having problems with my van cranking. So I took it to my dealer.they changed the fuel pump and it continued to do the same thing. So they replaced relays. They kept my van for over three weeks, but claimed they never could get it to do anything. But every time I get in it in the morning it still does the same thing. When you turn the key to crank it, it continues to try to crank. But if you turn the key off then to right before it cranks, do this a couple of times then it will crank. I asked if anyone ever drove it to see if it did the same thing with them and they said no. Needless to say it is still doing the same thing and no one has bother to contact me to fix the problem. And my van has always had service at the dealership. I want my van back the way it was!!!!!!!!!!

When driving at 30mph my van accelerated on its on without the gas pedal being touched. I had to push my brakes, I then pulled over. When attempting to drive my van again it did the same thing again. My malfunction indicator light came on the dash after the second acceleration. I then had my car towed.

Ac quit functioning; auto repair shop informed me that the ac lines run parallel to brakelines, often resulting in ac lines that are compromised by friction. The mechanic considers this a "design flaw" and has seen it in numerous Dodge Grand Caravan, but usually older models and/or higher mileage than mine. The ac lines are all part of a singular system, so the part needs to be ordered from Chrysler (who is backordered); I was informed that it is at least a 2-day job to install. Estimated cost: $675.

Boniface heirs Dodge in merritt island, Florida disable the rear quarter window switch due to a fire hazard - the switch catching fire - well it has been 7 months and they keep saying Dodge has not sent them a switch - one reason I bought the van was the rear quarter vent windows - my hubby smokes and it is good ventilation along with his passenger window open - well now the smoke stays in the van - and when I call or go in and ask about the switch - I get the run around and I can't afford to buy another van - and if I do then it will have the same problem - all I really want is a good switch and it fixed so that my van will work like it did when I bought it. Can you help me with that - I realize I am only 1 person and a women at that - but we buy cars and all types of things.

The van has had a number of recent issues with not starting, or stalling after the car was already running. Both issues are dangerous (being stranded or car cutting off randomly). The dealership said they had to replace the tipm. After doing research on my own, this appears to be a common issue, and the repair is over $1000. I can't believe there has not yet been a recall for this, but feel strongly that one should be issued.

My van shut off in the middle of traffic on North roxboro road on the way to northern high school. I was protected until aaa came and towed my car to the dealer. I rented a car and I paid for the 1st week of the rental and the other week was cared for by the dealer. It is unknown what was wrong with the vehicle at this point in time. Once this happened, a few months later the car began to cut off at the gas station the day before my family was about to travel out of town. Once it cut off we had to drive another car that was not working well to our destination. Aaa jump started my van in order for me to get back to the dealership. The advised me that I needed a new battery, however the dealership I was told that if the battery was low and I received a jump start I should drive the car. I tried and turned around once again to the dealership. I waited 30 minutes before someone was able to push my van into the lot. My car was held most of the day and at the end of the day they told me I needed a battery. I called my husband to discuss the matter, he wanted to discuss the information with them and they were asking for a large amount of money to fix not only the battery, but the alternator as well. The alternator was not the problem I was told originally. I had only brought the car to their location. They wanted almost a $1000 to fix my van. I had aaa tow my van away, aaa brought me a new battery and they tested and found that the alternator was the main source of my problems. The last time my van shut off it had all of the lights on. The voltage light, the ABS brake lights, the oil lights, the air bag lights and the battery light. It has been in and out of commission. I had at least 3 incidences that involved my children and feel that our lives were at stake. I need to have a resolution in this matter without being required to buy a new plan. I feel cheated.

In my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan, while turning the key to the on position to start the car the key gets stuck in the starting/on position making the car not turn over but make noise as if im trying to start the car, while its already started & it's not. I physically have to turn the key back to the off position because it won't snap back by itself. & keep trying again until it will finally start. Also while driving the car, it will shut off with no warning causing loss of power steering, leaving me to force the car to a safe zone to put the car in park and try to turn the car on. While googling this problem I see there's a problem with the wind modular/detent ring/igniton switch being recalled in 2008-2010 models. I took it to Dodge dealership service department explained the problem and they ran a diagnosis, and they cleaned out the ignition switch and updated the system, and told me to remove my car key from my key chain and then told me nothing was wrong with the car. Everyday since then the problem seems to be getting worst. And naturally I'm outside of my 36,000 limited warranty by 2 months by date and 10 miles over. (P.S) this seems to be the same problem that I seen in the news that GM originally knew about this problem since 2001 and my car is a 2011 and here it is 2014 with over 31 crashes and 13 deaths over faulty ignition switches and GM still continues to put not only my family lives at risk but many others.

Smoke coming from driver side rear brake. Pulled over and inspected. Coming from brake. Removed tire and saw that the emergency brake was a activated due to a spring had broke. I have P spring was rusted. We have had similar heating problrms in the past with both rear wheels.I have pictures of spring at the time of inspection on the side of the highway with all my children in the vehicle. This has been a reacurring problem with wheels over heating. We even took it to the dealership in the past and they said all looks normal?
