Engine's headgasket was leaking oil. The cost of the replacement of the headgasket was $544.88. I got it replaced by norwood Dodge. I firmly believe that the headgasket was defective, and that the government should order Chrysler to issue a recall. Thank you for your assistance
While driving head gasket malfunctioned, causing engine problems, and vehicle overheating and stalling unexpectedly which may result in a crash. Common problem.
Blown head gasket at 30,000, missing, hesitation, now loud noise on cold start may be power steering pump? also loud popping noise coming from suspension.
Consumer took car into dealer for a front end problem. Mechanic put car on the lift and noticed a problem with engine gasket. The radiator was also replaced.
Needs new head gasket at 62,000 miles. Paint is fogging up on the back for no reason. This is ridiculous and I see that there are many others complaining os similiar nature. The problem with the steering column going out is a major problem. That needs to be dealt with immediately along with the head gasket. Engine head gasket has been replaced twice and will need to be replaced again. First gasket replaced at 45, 000 miles, second gasket about 98,000. Vehicle currently has 132,000 miles.

Chrysler knows that there is a defect in the head gasket and has "secret warranty" which Chrysler has extended the warranty up to 5 years/100,000 miles. It is difficult to get dealers to honor this warranty.
At only 19000 miles the car has blown the head gasket, the front drivers side tire split down the side in several places, both drive belts broke causing dead cells in the battery, now temp gauge goes to red when in traffic with A/C working.dealer replaced head gasket and belts but cant find the overheating problem. What a piece of junk!!!!
