Neon SE 2.0L I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 106,000 miles

Less a complaint, more a warning to everybody to keep an eye on this. There was no symptom except a little noise, but both outer tie rod ends were badly worn at 106,000 miles. They are supposedly greased for life, so they can't be greased by the owner. The miles were 99% highway miles. Check yours today by firmly grabbing your front tire at the 3:00 and 9:00 positions and trying to wiggle the wheel back and forth. Any movement and you may need new tie rod ends!
