Horn honks randomly. Sometimes blaring, when I press it doesn't work. It happens when I am driving and when the car is sitting. I found several people complaining about the same problem from Chrysler with the Totally Integrated Power Modules (TIPMs). I see other cars from Chrysler have been recalled for this problem. Dodge falls under the Chrysler "umbrella".

Nitro SLT 3.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,500 miles

The horn goes off and won't stop even with the key off until it wants to. I have been driving and have had people think I was honking at theM and cussed me out, scary with road rage now a days. Also distracting and could cause me to have an accident.

Our 2007 Dodge Nitro started out locking and unlocking itself for no reason, and now the horn goes off (usually in the middle of the night) even our neighbors come out to see if it is there car, very embarrassing. It is like the car is possessed horn blaring until I disconnect the battery.
