If you are in the market looking for a Dodge Nitro keep on looking. I've had nothing but problem with this truck since I bought it. I know that reviews are great and that's why I decided to add my rant, gripe, etc. Word to the wise stay away from Dodge automobiles. The general consensus from everybody I meet or know who has one their complaint is the same across the board. Nice body terrible automobile

Nitro SLT 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission

The differential began leaking around the pumpkin. Took to mechanic who stated that the seal was breached which I found this quite odd as the vehicle was only 7 years old. Mechanic stated it was probably due to salt on the road during winter. Replaced the seal. Before long, the drive shaft (?) was making a grinding noise only when accelerating. Took back to mechanic who stated that two bearings and two seals needed replacing. Had these replaced. Quite an expensive fix for a 7 year old car.
