This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Bought this car 40 days ago from a big dealership. Supposedly they have this vigorous inspection of all their used vehicles...apparently not. We cannot fill our gas tank to the full level. Everyone we do it spits out a ton of gas, not just a little a lot!! brought it back to dealer for our 90-day warranty & naturally the warranty doesn't cover it. They think the problem is the filler neck not letting out the air for the gas to go in so it spits it all out. Cost to repair it... $500 in hopes that is what the problem is. You would think that with this being a major safety issue Chrysler would pay for it. Called Chrysler customer service & they said they can't do anything for me. I guess we just run the risk of catching something on fire before anything is done about this issue. Hopefully someone doesn't get killed over something that should have been recalled many times over. Good luck to everyone's ne with this issue.
