Overall the Truck has been dependable, Mechanically, but the Dashboard has fallen completely out of it. It's hard for me to believe the quality of the vehicle, and the interior is so horible. Once it started cracking it seemed like you couls almost see it getting worse everyday. Dodge needs to step up to their responsibility, and fix this creature. It's nothing but right. I have looked at another one quite recently 8 yeary newer, to restore, and the Dash in it is almost as bad as the one I have. I enjoy tinkering with these vehicles, but I don't know if i want to take on another one or not.

I have had this truck since 1995 and had no intention of ever getting rid of it I actually looked forward to completely restoring the vehicle. When I went to replace the top dash panel the entire frame started to completely fall apart. I have replaced the transmission replaced headliner, new paint, new carpets and now found out no replacement for dash?

Dodge you should hang your head in shame! I have loved my truck until now and I was convinced that I would buy Dodge again but not anymore!

Thank God the Jeep side of your operation is better supported as I have 2 of those.

I have owned this truck since it was new and have never received any information or inquiry regarding dashboard issues. This is quite a large issue and the replacment parts costs are just prohibitive. Not to mention the replacement labors costs.

It is a real problem that hasn't been truly owned up to by the manufacturer or any offer of assistance presented.

It should be acknowledged and a remedy should be offered.

The upper portion of this Dashboard started cracking at the mounting screws during the summer of 2009 and has progressively gotten worse. Every junk yard I have searched for a replacement results with the scrap vehicle having the same problem. Dodge really went the cheap route.

I see this is a problem with the later models but also has been an issue in 1994 as well. The dash is like an egg shell. The plastic dashboard cracks so easily. I have even tried to glue it together and it keeps cracking no matter how easily I handle the pieces. It is very poorly made. It cracks right in my hand. You would think that this would have been corrected and a better one available as a replacement. Though it is not considered a safety hazard but that is no excuse to look the other way. I was wondering if this dash was made my Mattel but that would even be a better product than the plastic junk that Dodge has gotten away with. Safety or no safety, it is about reputation. The whole dash is cracked to pieces like a jigsaw puzzle and I am trying to glue it back together. I am considering walking into the parts department at the Dodge dealership and putting all the pieces on the counter and telling them what a piece of shyt it is. Asking them if they are going to replace it and if not, break it up with my finger tips like a cookie and walking out after telling them they are pathetic!

I HAVE HAD TRUCK FOR 6 YEARS AND I HAVE 250,000 MILES ON IT . I USE IT FOR A WORK (CONSTRUCTION) NO MAJOR PROBLEMS , EXCEPT THE DASH IS FALLING APART !!!! 3 MAJOR HOLES WHERE PIECES HAVE FALLEN OUT AND SEVERAL OTHER CRACKS. I WAS UNAWARE OF THE WIDESPREAD PROBLEM UNTIL I STARTED READING THIS WEBSITE, FOR SOME REASON THE OLD "MISERY LOVES COMPANY" DOESN'T MAKE ME FEEL ANY BETTER WHEN I LOOK AT MY DASH . OH YEAH THE PAINT ON THE ROOF AND HOOD HAS ALSO ALMOST COMPLETELY PEALED OFF. TRUCK RUNS GREAT LOOKS TERRIBLE!!!

WANT TO WHY THEY HAVE THE WORD DODGE ON THE BACK OF THE TRUCK ? TO GIVE OTHER CARS A WARNING ABOUT PARTS FALLIN OFF THE TRUCK. SO THEY CAN DODGE THE PARTS ! MY DASH STARTING CRACKING AFTER I BOUGHT IT USED 6 MONTHS AGO. NOW THERE IS A HOLE BIG ENOUGH TO PUT MY HAND IN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE ABOVE THE LIGHT SWITCH. WHICH ALSO BROKE! THEY WANTED $ 310.00 TO REPLACE THE LIGHT SWITCH- I WENT TO PEP BOYS AND BOUGHT A GENERIC ONE FOR $ 5 WORKS FINE NOW. STILL HAVE CRACKS IN DASH. NOW MY TRANSMISSION BROKE AGAIN- REPLACED IT 5 MONTHS AGO. I WILL NEVER BUY CRAP LIKE THIS AGAIN - NO MORE DODGES
