I purchased the truck in July 2006 with what appeared to be a perfect paint job. The truck was washed and waxed regularly. By January 2007 I noticed that my clear-coat was starting to peel. It is still peeling. The roof and hood are the worst. The tops of the bed and doors are also peeling. It would seem that paint surfaces facing straight-up at the sky are the only areas affected by peeling paint. Love my truck! Runs like new. It is hard to be a proud Dodge owner when the company does not care about the quality of vehicle it sells. We are going to be in the market for a new truck next year but unfortunately it will not be a Dodge. We just do not want to own another eye-sore.
The roof of my 2000 Ram 1500 p/u is coming off. It is also coming off from the hood and the bed. It started off as small specks coming off, now they are large areas.
