My dash board fell in on my 2000 Dodge Ram on my way into work and is progressively getting worse from weather conditions. I am afraid this could cause electrical problems with the sun beating down on exposed wires and other possible damage to the vehicle.
Dash board had crumbled and fall off from the dash. Now there is an open space at my dash. It is unfair they made this kind of dash board weak and selling it at the cost of $800 dlls to replace it. We pay for a truck that is build to last. And still here we have a dash that just broke by adding armor and a rag to clean it up. Still they put commercials that is the best truck with the best warranty and failed to replace it.

I have a 2000 Dodge 1500 P/U every since we bought the truck we cannot get any help to replace the cracked dashboard. Its a hazard while driving, the trucks value is' 0' due to the cracked dash. Dodge should be 100% responsible for replacement of defected part! we did nothing to cause damage, we cant even wipe it when we clean the truck. I am in fear that my new grandson could get cut from the sharp edges if he were to put his hands on the dash. Plus me & my stroke.
This is a Dodge 1500 2000. I bought this used and it did have a hair crack in the dash. Within 6 months this hair crack turned into more than a dozen throughout the dash with the area of the vent starting to fall through. Could this be a hazard.

Purchased 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 pick up used in 2003. In the same year the dash board started to crack, it now has large pieces missing. Spoke to dealer who was not able to help. I know three people who own Dodge trucks similar years, all three have cracking dash boards.
I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500. The dashboard on my truck is cracking. It's not only cracking it's falling apart. The pieces of dash "sharp plastic" is falling down into where electrical wiring is. Plus these pieces of dashboard is very sharp. This is a safety hazard. This is a serious problem that need to be address. It's been an ongoing problem for sometime since 2006 and continues to get worst.
I have a 2000 Dodge pickup. The dashboard has been cracking in several laces over the last few years. It keeps getting worse every time I look at it. I contacted Dodge and they told me to get an estimate from my local dealer. When I contacted them back with the estimate I was told there was nothing they could do about it. I know I'm not the only one with this problem. Hopefully there will be a recall after they get there bailout money.
