rear driverside brake line at the last press on separated

Went to leave for work, travel into Boston, Went to put my truck in gear, stepped on the brake to put it in Drive brakes went right to the floor. Lost all brakes. Got out to look. brake fluid was everywhere. the rear drivers line, where the steel is crimped to the rubber, the outer part of the crimp had rotten off and the rubber line had blown off of the steel line. This is the first time I have ever seen this happen, I have driven some pretty old cars with alot of milage. This shouldn't have happened. This is poor quality materials of important safety equipment I was fortunate enough that this happened in my driveway instead on the busy road of Rt 93 going into Boston in rush hour.
