We bought the Dodge truck a few yrs ago and about a few weeks ago it started overheating, but today it went into the red. It's sitting at a mechanic waiting to hear how much this will cost us. I can't believe how many problems we have had with this truck.

Ram 1500 SLT 4.7L Magnum

Driving 300 miles from Louisiana back to Austin my motor started over heating. After stopping to let it cool down and check the water I noticed that the belt was gone, so I reached in and grabbed the water pump roller arm and guess what, you could shake it around about 2 inches. Was only about 40 miles from home so I had the truck towed back to the house and then to a certified mechanic and he told me there was no damn way he was going to try and fix that 4.7 engine and one they over heat the crank bearings are shot. So I'm disabled and don't have the money to buy a rebuilt engine right now with all the medical cost "thanks Obama", but with only 60000 miles on the truck I'm going to half to stop taking my medication and save for a rebuilt motor and have it installed. I have only had two dodge's in my life one was a 1982 ramcharger and this ram 1500 AND THIS WILL BE THE LAST DODGE I WILL EVER BUY IN THE REST OF MY LIFE, I WOULD REATHER SHOT MYSELF THEN BUY ANOTHER DODGE. "DRIP'S OIL AND DROP'S GREASE EVERYWHERE" SO "F" DODGE AND ANYTHING THEY TRY TO MAKE. Time for them to go out of business and another company pick up their slack. I really don't think they will be missed all that much. About the same as GM, they would have been out of business along time ago if the DAMN government would quit bailing them out, all both companies do is give the VP's big bonuses and build sh*t for the American people to eat.
