air bag did not deploy in wreck air bag did not deploy in wreck air bag did not deploy in wreck air bag did not deploy in wreck air bag did not deploy in wreck

Hi. My name is tonya. i was just recentally in a car accident with my 2007 dodge ram 1500. i had bought my truck brand new and felt assuared that my family and i would be safe. just last week i was driving to New Mexico from Bullhead City,AZ (where i live) and when we just got out side of Kingman,AZ i had flipped my truck from hitting a guard rail head on at 70-75 mph. we had a patch of black ice.well we were coming around a corner and the bridge (that had the black ice) was in the shade so we did not see the ice. this was the first patch of ice that we saw durring the trip and there were no prier warnings of black ice, so i had set my cruse control. so, when we had hit the ice, my cruse control was still on, because as you have probably experienced this your self with your ram 1500( years below 2009), it can be very confusing to find your button to shut off the cruise control in a dier instant. because the truck had felt a slip in the tire it sped up, and because we were on ice i cant use the break to shut it down. i grew up in the snow so i know how to control a vehicle in it quite well. the whole time, my truck was right next to an 18 wheeler in a two layne road so i did not want to get kicked under by it. when i had hit guard rail i was going about 70-75 mph and i hit it head on, resulting my truck to flip over on it's side. And MY AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF!!!!!!!!! my son and large dog was also in thruck with me and and my son is 13 years old. the ending resolution was me having a fractered neck at C6 and my son having bruised ribbs, and bruised internalls. We had taken out 4(four) posts of the guard rail (which are each hardened, 6X8 slabs of wood). even the police officer said that it is a true miracal the my son, dog, and i are alive (yet alone having no blood). if you have any more information about our similare instances with your Dodge Ram 1500, please let me konw, and vise-versa

Thank you

We bought this truck brand new from a dodge dealership, you think you have a little peace of mind when you buy from a dealership that the equipment will work properly, that there won't be problems. So we were traveling down the road swerved to avoid a hitting a deer, and hit a power pole. To our dismay the airbags did not deploy we were going between 45-50 mph, we were told by the dodge corp that there are sensors on the truck that have to be hit in order for them to deploy, surprisingly I wasn't aware that when you are in the middle of an accident about to crash into something you have stay calm so that you can think, ok my airbag sensor is here so I have to maneuver this vehicle in a way that the sensor will be hit so the airbag will maybe save my life! That seems preposterous to me!
