This is the TIPM crap acting up. The car will lock, unlock, even start for no reason. I walked out 1 day and it was unlocked and started with the windows down without my knowledge. The AC will work fine if I remove the fuses and put them back in, but only until I turn off the engine. I live in TN, it's HOT down here 6 months out of the year and doing this every time I drive is a real pain. The alarm will also go off frequently for no reason. I will never, ever buy a Dodge product again.
The fact that Dodge will not admit fault makes me not want to purchase another one of their products. This TIPM issue is serious, and they need to make it right.
Well, I gave Dodge and those people a fair chance when everyone warned me about buying a Dodge. I have never owned a Dodge but have own a Ford and thought it can't be that bad. How wrong I was. From day 1, there was this awful smell from the AC vent. I brought it in and they told me there was nothing wrong. Maybe someone was smoking in the vehicle. I don't smoke and no one in my family does. After a few months, I keep on hearing a grinding sound from the transmission. Again, I brought it in and they told me they can't reproduce the problem/sound. Afterwards, my CEL comes on, oil pressure sensor.. Now, my AC dies. This vehicle has 3900miles on it.
