The dealer refused to honor the recall due to a previous inspection performed under the same recall. At that specific time, there was no indication of a defect. The technician stated that the repair for the recent failure would be at the owner's expense. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
