Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7L

  • CVT transmission

Truck will shift into lower gear with the number 4 locked on shifter. Sometimes I can turn engine off and it resets, other times it will drop back to the number 4 immediately. This makes for a dangerous takeoff as truck does not go when you accelerate. The driveshaft came completely out and truck was stopped in middle of road at a speed of approx. 55 to 60 mph creating a severe stop. I'm wondering if this had an impact on transmission problems now. The driveshaft was a recall but no parts to fix at dealership and their response "drive it until it stops". Well guess what, it stopped last week when it broke loose. Any help appreciated.

Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab 5.7L Liters

  • Automatic transmission
  • 500 miles

Days after my new truck purchase the truck got stuck in fourth gear. You could sometimes shut it down and it would reset itself but then when I would be pulling out into traffic (Randomly) it would just loose power and be stuck in 4th gear. Dealer put me thru hell three times dealing with rental cars and such saying they fixed it then it would happen again. They finally replaced the main computer.

Ram 1500 3.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,200 miles

Purchased a new dodge ram 1500 and twice now the transmission has had an episode where it will not shift out of 2nd gear. I believe it is a problem with the computer because I have to turn engine off and restart it again to clear the problem. Washed it today and discovered the door seal leaks and runs water into the cab. Sorry I bought this piece of sh*t!!
