Issue began just after the warranty period was over, if I tilted my steering wheel upward the horn honked repeatedly and headlamps flashed. Then a week later, intermittently smell "electrical burn" and the A/C blower motor would stop, then start etc etc. I removed the covers to the steering column and the 10 ga. Blue and red wires are burned along with the plug / pigtail. Ignition switch, pigtail and wires were extremely hot and melting. Fire is eminent. Ign. Switch is available but I will be forced to buy the full wiring harness! I have not done the repair due to the financial setback from a bad design. Dodge had this exact condition in 2000 on 1994-1996 models, see NHTSA campaign: 00V135000. This is the same conditions, high electrical current from blower motor routed thru ignition switch instead of a relay when the blower is on high for an extended period of time. No fire yet but at this rate there will bes soon.
