This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Throttle linkage broke, we had throttle linkage welded because we were in a very remote location at that time. We drove truck home and parked it at which time we received a recall from Chrysler on linkage. Dealer (ringgold Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, ,7154 nashville St., ringgold, ga. 30736 phone 706-935-2328) refused to do recall because linkage had been welded. Chrylser recall division states no other problems with linkage breaking and refused to authorize full repair. We are still driving truck on which safety recall work has not been performed.
Driving at approximatly 60 mph going up a hill, throttle linkage rod had broken, causing engine to shut down/to idle. Also, vehicle lost control, almost causing an accident.
