The contact owns a 2000 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated that the right front wheel bearing froze. The contact had trouble getting the wheel bearing off and the dealer stated that it would come off when more pressure was applied. When the contact applied more pressure, the threads on the drive axle and axle nut stripped and the contact then had to replace the hub, nut and axle. The current and failure mileages were 100,000. Updated 03/02/11 the consumer stated he tried to pull the hub off the axle and it separated. The consumer had to replace the hub, axle and nut. The drive axle and nut are available only through the dealer; axle $760 and nut $31. Updated 09/19/11
While operating vehicle at any speed it is difficult to maintain control. Dealership has examined vehicle, and replaced steering gear box and aligned the wheels. Also, consumer has replaced the tires. Problem has not been effectively remedied. Please provide any additional information / attachments.
When applying brake pedal while driving at a highway speeds vehicle will pull to left, causing poor vehicle control. Consumer has contacted dealer, and dealer has yet to make any changes.
Dodge Ram 3500 has poor directional control when traveling at speeds greater than 50 mph. Consumer cannot find a dealership that can examine and correct the defect. Consumer feels this vehicle is dangerous to be operated on road because consumer has to have both hands on steering wheel at all times. Consumer states dealer has made an adjustment that did not help.

Vehicle wanders all over road when driving over 50 mph. Dealer replaced strut, but this did not remedy situation. Consumer states he know longer owns this vehicle.

Vehicle has been running very rough. When vehicle is placed in gear a loud noise is heard. Also, vehicle stalls without prior warning. Problem is intermittent. In addition, vehicle pulls to one side, driver's side. Consumer has contacted dealer.
When driving between 38-45 mph or when making a left or right hand front end bounce as if the vehicle is out of round. Consumer has contacted the dealer. As a possible cause, all four tires and two rims were replaced. The repair shop states that the front end bouncing is normal.
